Exhibition.

At last I managed to have a solo exhibition, after two months of intense painting, my show opened at La feuille d'or on 21st Oct 2009. The opening night seemed to be a success, with over two hundred people passing through, I was happy yet nervous, it is the first time I have publicly shown my personal paintings since 1984. Here are a few of the paintings and a couple of pics from the opening. Btw, I would never have been able to do this without the help and support of good friends. Thankyou everybody.

Having reworked this, I am now stopping here. But started a new one on a small 30/24cm black canvas, just the face to help me concentrate on the features.

Mollie.

This is my partner David's, niece's daughter, still unfinished as yet, but need to finish it as I will be doing Mollie's little sister when Mollie is finished. Oil on canvas board ( I need to be able to post it to her mum) 50/40cm.

Self portrait. In progress.

I started a selfportrait from life, being fed up with painting from photographs, and unable to find a model with the patience of a saint. So using a mirror, this is the result so far. Still unfinished as yet, and gone on the back burner a bit now as I have had to start another portrait ( see next post) This is oil on canvas. 50/40cm.
